Fixed Access Ladders
Bespoke fixed industrial ladders — fabricated and installed to EN ISO 14122-4 by an experienced Irish engineering contractor.
Industrial Access Systems
Specialist fixed access ladders — designed, fabricated, installed.
A fixed access ladder is permanent infrastructure: once it's installed, it's expected to serve safely for decades, often in tough environments. NR Engineering fabricates fixed industrial ladders that are properly designed for the application, properly finished for the environment, and properly installed by people who know what they're doing.
We supply contractors, facility managers, utility operators and industrial clients across Ireland. Every ladder is a bespoke design — there is no standard catalogue. Stringer section, rung pitch, fixing detail, finish and accessories are all chosen for your project.
From short access ladders for plant deck access to multi-storey caged access on water industry assets, we deliver fixed ladders that meet EN ISO 14122 and pass inspection first time.

Typical applications
Where we apply this work
- Roof and plantroom access
- Mezzanine and gantry access
- Tank, silo and vessel access
- Pump and treatment plant access
- Telecoms and structural access
- Agricultural and waste infrastructure
Industrial ladders are one of those products where it's tempting to go to the cheapest supplier — until the first inspection. Our fixed ladders pass HSA, insurance and Irish Water audits because we treat the standard as the minimum, not the target.
Because we fabricate and install in-house, you get one point of accountability. If something on site doesn't suit, we change it on the same visit rather than going through a chain of subcontractors.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Can't see your question? Call us on 087 253 7966 or email nreng1@gmail.com.
What's the standard for fixed industrial ladders in Ireland?+
EN ISO 14122-4 is the European standard for permanent means of access to machinery, covering rung diameter, pitch, side clearance, safety cages and rest landings.
Can you replace older non-compliant ladders?+
Yes — we regularly survey and replace older ladders that no longer meet EN ISO 14122-4, often coordinating with planned shutdowns to minimise downtime.
Do you handle installation as well as fabrication?+
Yes — we fabricate in our Drogheda workshop and install on site with our own crews, lifting equipment and Safe Pass certified operatives. One contractor, one point of accountability, from drawing board to handover.
How do I get a quote?+
Send drawings, specifications or a brief description by email to nreng1@gmail.com, or call/WhatsApp 087 253 7966. We'll review the scope and come back to you with pricing and a realistic lead time, usually within one working day.
What areas of Ireland do you cover?+
Our workshop is in Drogheda, Co. Louth and we work nationwide across Ireland — with regular projects in Louth, Meath, Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Wexford, Cavan, Monaghan and throughout Leinster. We also travel to Munster and Connacht for utility, water and industrial clients.
