Roof Access Ladders
Rooftop access ladders for commercial, industrial and utility buildings — fabricated, installed and certified across Ireland.
Industrial Access Systems
Specialist roof access ladders — designed, fabricated, installed.
Almost every commercial and industrial building in Ireland needs safe roof access — for HVAC, solar, lift motor rooms, antennas, gutters and ongoing maintenance. NR Engineering fabricates and installs rooftop access ladders that meet the standard, suit the building and last.
We work with facility managers, M&E contractors, solar PV installers and main contractors across Ireland. Each rooftop ladder is designed to suit the parapet, eaves or wall it's mounted to, with a safe handover at the roof edge.
From a single roof hatch ladder on an office in Dublin to a run of caged rooftop ladders on a Louth distribution centre, we deliver rooftop access that passes inspection and keeps your maintenance teams safe.

Typical applications
Where we apply this work
- Commercial office roofs
- Industrial warehouse and factory roofs
- Pharma and life sciences plant decks
- Lift motor rooms and plant penthouses
- Solar PV access ladders
- Telecoms and antenna access
Roof access is one of the most common reasons we get a call from a new client. Insurance inspections, HSA audits and solar PV installations regularly throw up older roof access that no longer complies with EN ISO 14122-4. We can survey, design and replace within a few weeks — usually without disrupting building occupants.
Because we fabricate and install ourselves, we can coordinate cleanly with your roofing contractor on flashings and waterproofing — avoiding the awkward gap between trades that often causes leaks around retrofit ladders.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Can't see your question? Call us on 087 253 7966 or email nreng1@gmail.com.
Do you handle the roof flashing as well?+
We coordinate closely with your roofing contractor and supply the necessary upstand and bracket details. Where useful we can manage the full package including waterproofing.
Can roof ladders be installed without scaffolding?+
Often yes, using MEWPs or rope access depending on the building. We carry out a site-specific lift plan as part of every installation.
Do you handle installation as well as fabrication?+
Yes — we fabricate in our Drogheda workshop and install on site with our own crews, lifting equipment and Safe Pass certified operatives. One contractor, one point of accountability, from drawing board to handover.
How do I get a quote?+
Send drawings, specifications or a brief description by email to nreng1@gmail.com, or call/WhatsApp 087 253 7966. We'll review the scope and come back to you with pricing and a realistic lead time, usually within one working day.
What areas of Ireland do you cover?+
Our workshop is in Drogheda, Co. Louth and we work nationwide across Ireland — with regular projects in Louth, Meath, Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Wexford, Cavan, Monaghan and throughout Leinster. We also travel to Munster and Connacht for utility, water and industrial clients.
