Galvanised Steel Ladders

Cost-effective, durable galvanised steel ladders — fabricated and installed throughout Ireland for industrial, commercial and utility clients.

Industrial Access Systems

Specialist galvanised steel ladders — designed, fabricated, installed.

Hot-dip galvanised steel is the workhorse material for industrial access in Ireland. When matched with proper fabrication and the right design, a galvanised ladder will give 25 to 50 years of service outdoors with minimal maintenance — at a fraction of the cost of stainless.

NR Engineering fabricates galvanised steel ladders for industrial sites, commercial buildings, utilities, farms, recycling facilities and infrastructure clients across Ireland. Every ladder is hot-dip galvanised to ISO 1461 by our trusted Irish galvanising partners.

We design with galvanising in mind — proper vent and drain holes, accessible bolt connections and weld details that don't trap zinc — so the finish quality is consistent and the ladder ships on time.

Capabilities

What's included

ISO 1461 galvanising

Hot-dip galvanised by approved Irish galvanising plants.

EN ISO 14122 compliant

Designed and fabricated to the fixed-ladder standard.

Designed for galvanising

Vent and drain holes detailed correctly to give a clean dip and uniform finish.

Long service life

Typical galvanised coatings provide 25–50 years of corrosion protection in Irish atmospheric conditions.

Cost-effective

The most economical specification for industrial environments.

Repairable

Site damage can be repaired with cold galvanising or zinc-rich paint.

How we deliver

From survey to handover

  1. Step 1

    Survey & design

Drawings issued for sign-off before fabrication.

  2. Step 2

    Workshop fabrication

Welded in Drogheda and prepared for the galvanising bath.

  3. Step 3

    Hot-dip galvanising

Dipped at our approved galvaniser, then quality checked on return.

  4. Step 4

    Install & inspection

Installed by our crews and signed off with inspection records.

Typical applications

Where we apply this work

  • Industrial roof access
  • Recycling and waste handling sites
  • Agricultural buildings and silos
  • Telecoms and antenna structures
  • Pumping stations
  • Warehousing and logistics

Galvanised steel is the right answer for most outdoor industrial access in Ireland — and the wrong answer for hygienic, potable water or aggressively corrosive environments. We will tell you up front which finish to specify based on the environment and project life.

Our galvanising lead times are typically 1–2 weeks on top of fabrication, but we plan around them so projects still hit the programme.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Can't see your question? Call us on 087 253 7966 or email nreng1@gmail.com.

How long will a galvanised ladder last in Ireland?+

In typical Irish atmospheric conditions (C2/C3 corrosivity) a hot-dip galvanised coating typically delivers 25–50 years of service. Coastal C4/C5 environments shorten that — for those we usually recommend stainless.

Can a damaged galvanised ladder be repaired?+

Yes — minor site damage is repaired with zinc-rich paint or cold galvanising compound. Significant damage may require removal and re-dipping, but is rare on properly designed installations.

Do you handle installation as well as fabrication?+

Yes — we fabricate in our Drogheda workshop and install on site with our own crews, lifting equipment and Safe Pass certified operatives. One contractor, one point of accountability, from drawing board to handover.

How do I get a quote?+

Send drawings, specifications or a brief description by email to nreng1@gmail.com, or call/WhatsApp 087 253 7966. We'll review the scope and come back to you with pricing and a realistic lead time, usually within one working day.

What areas of Ireland do you cover?+

Our workshop is in Drogheda, Co. Louth and we work nationwide across Ireland — with regular projects in Louth, Meath, Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Wexford, Cavan, Monaghan and throughout Leinster. We also travel to Munster and Connacht for utility, water and industrial clients.
