Stainless Steel Ladders
Stainless steel ladders for potable water, hygienic, coastal and high-corrosion environments — fabricated in 304 and 316 across Ireland.
Industrial Access Systems
Specialist stainless steel ladders — designed, fabricated, installed.
Where galvanised carbon steel won't last — hygienic environments, potable water contact, coastal exposure, aggressive chemicals — we fabricate access ladders in stainless steel. NR Engineering has a long-established stainless fabrication capability and works in 304, 316 and duplex grades.
Our stainless ladders serve Irish Water and utility infrastructure, pharma and life sciences facilities, food and beverage producers, marinas, marine industry and coastal commercial buildings around the Irish coast.
Every stainless ladder is fabricated in a dedicated stainless bay, polished or pickled as required, and supplied with full material certs and weld records.

How we deliver
From survey to handover
Step 1
Specification review
We agree grade, finish and weld standards up front.
Step 2
Drawings
Fabrication drawings with hygienic details where required.
Step 3
Stainless workshop fabrication
TIG welded in our dedicated stainless bay.
Step 4
Finishing & install
Passivated, finished and installed with full documentation.
Typical applications
Where we apply this work
- Irish Water and reservoir access
- Pharma and biotech facilities
- Food and beverage production
- Marine and coastal industrial sites
- Wastewater treatment access
- Chemical and process plants
Stainless steel doesn't forgive sloppy fabrication. Heat tint, contamination from carbon steel particles, the wrong filler — any of these will compromise the corrosion performance of an otherwise good ladder. We have built a dedicated stainless workshop and qualified our welders specifically to deliver hygienic-grade ladders that perform for decades in Ireland's most demanding environments.
If your project requires validation documentation — material certs, weld maps, surface finish reports — we supply it as standard.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Can't see your question? Call us on 087 253 7966 or email nreng1@gmail.com.
When should I specify 316 instead of 304?+
316 contains molybdenum and resists chloride attack much better than 304 — making it the right choice for coastal Irish sites, chlorinated potable water systems, swimming pools and pharma WFI applications.
Can you electropolish stainless ladders?+
Yes — for hygienic and pharma applications we offer electropolishing in addition to standard passivation.
Do you handle installation as well as fabrication?+
Yes — we fabricate in our Drogheda workshop and install on site with our own crews, lifting equipment and Safe Pass certified operatives. One contractor, one point of accountability, from drawing board to handover.
How do I get a quote?+
Send drawings, specifications or a brief description by email to nreng1@gmail.com, or call/WhatsApp 087 253 7966. We'll review the scope and come back to you with pricing and a realistic lead time, usually within one working day.
What areas of Ireland do you cover?+
Our workshop is in Drogheda, Co. Louth and we work nationwide across Ireland — with regular projects in Louth, Meath, Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Wexford, Cavan, Monaghan and throughout Leinster. We also travel to Munster and Connacht for utility, water and industrial clients.
